How I got where I am today...
History
I'm 21 years old and come from Manchester. I went to Manchester High School for Girls which was a "posh" private school. I had lots of fun there messing around, winding up the teachers and playing the clown for the other kids, but I still got good grades. I stayed there till I was 18 then went to Leeds University to study Creative Writing.
I was at Leeds for 3 years where I had lots of fun and changed a hell of a lot. In fact, I pretty much changed each year. In August 2006 I went to Beatles Week in Liverpool which totally changed my life as I fell in love with the city and the Cavern Club, deciding I had to go back as often as I could.
It was there on October 8th 2006 that I met Wes Paul and my life changed forever - in a good way! Wes is the manager, organiser and promoter of Sounds Of The Sixties Cavern Showcase. One of the bands I had made friends with at Beatles Week (Flashback) were playing that night so I had gone to see them. That very same night (which was the eve before John Lennon's birthday) Wes got me up on stage with his band and I played and sang two songs - I Saw Her Standing There and Shakin All Over.
Since that night I have got more involved with Sounds Of The Sixties and after falling for the man himself, we both run the show together, in assosication with Kingsize Taylor and his wife Marga.
